It’s a classic from Z-Ro. The “I Hate You” music video from Z-Ro’s album ‘Life of Joseph W. McVey’ featuring Dougie D from Guerilla Maab. It also has some exclusive interview footage with Z-Ro, while he was serving time in prison at Pam Lychner Correctional Facility.
It’s official Chamillionaire’s debut album, Sound of Revenge, has gone platinum and Cham is ready to celebrate. He has announced that he will be throwing an A-List party in New York City on June 5, 2007. I wonder who that A-list includes?
Chamillionaire has earned his first #1 record which is something that fellow Houston rappers Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Slim Thug, are still trying to accomplish. “Ridin’ Dirty” featuring Krayzie Bone went to Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this week. The song was aided by several regional remixes which included guest vocals form UGK, E-40, Papoose, and Jae Millz.
Chamillionaire’s album continues to move 35,000 copies a week. Congrats to Chamillionaire for doing his thing and making it this far. I will be waiting to see what he comes out with next.

UGK has apparently announced that their new album will be released on December 19, 2007.
This Port Arthur, Texas-based group, consisting of Pimp C and Bun B, is releasing a new double album, Under Ground Kingz, and recently leaked a single from the project, titled “Game Belongs To Me.” The song was produced by Pimp C, Avery Harris, and N.O. Joe.
The official lead single from the project will be “Stop & Go,” which was produced by Jazze Pha. Also expect to hear beats from Mannie Fresh, Timbaland, Cool N Dre and Three 6 Mafia. Artists featured on the album include Slim Thug and Rick Ross not to mention others.
This album sounds like its gonna be hot and it is building a lot of hype right now since its the first group album release since 2001’s Dirty Money. It is also the first group project from Pimp C since his release from prison.
Thanks go to Artisan News Service for the video
This is Episode One of the Lost footage of Houston’s Lil Flip. In this video you will catch the self-proclaim “leprechaun” promoting his new album I Need Mine $$, talking to fans, and discussing his music. Check out Lil’ Flip live from the hoods of Corpus Christi (his words, not mine) courtesy of CloverG TV.
It sounds like there will be more episodes of footage to come in the future… not sure though. Check it out
On June 12, a low-key and under-the-radar Fort Worth artist will release his new album. Although Keite Young (pronounced “Keete”) is probably not a familiar artist to you now, he plans to work his voice into the ears of urban/funk/soul fans all around the country soon. The Fort Worth singer will release his debut album entitled The Rise And Fall Of Keite Young on Hidden Beach/Universal Records. 2007 has plans to be a very big year for an artist who was unknown not too long ago.
This 29-year-old, coming from a family with a strong background in music, will bring his own blend of gospel, rock and funk to a larger audience with several live performances already planned (View his MySpace profile for dates & information).
Below, enjoy Keite’s exciting live performance from his song “Pressure” from his new album at Boardner’s in Hollywood. It portrays his musical abilities far better than I can explain in writing.
